Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Beauty Korean mobile application or this website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Beauty Korean ("we", "our", "us") reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Beauty Korean provides:

• Skin Analysis — on-device skin type and condition assessment using facial image processing (mobile app only).
• Virtual Makeup Try-On — real-time augmented reality makeup simulation (mobile app only).
• K-Beauty Product Discovery — curated OLIVE YOUNG Global, SASA Global, and Stylevana catalog with recommendations.
• Affiliate Shopping — links to purchase products. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases.
• Subscription Plan — optional paid plan (Premium) offering additional features.
• This website is an informational and promotional surface. Skin analysis and virtual makeup features are exclusive to the mobile app.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Union) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

4. User Accounts

• You may register using Google Sign-In or email/password via Firebase Authentication (in the mobile app).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• Notify us of unauthorized use at Beauty-Korean@hotmail.com.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscription Plans & Billing

Plans. Free — 2 skin analyses per day, ad-supported, photo-based virtual makeup. Premium ($4.99/month) — unlimited analyses, no ads, Live AR virtual makeup, skin & makeup history, personalized recommendations.

Payment. Subscription payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you agree to Paddle's Terms of Service and authorize recurring billing.

Cycle. Subscriptions renew monthly until canceled. You may cancel at any time from Profile → Subscription → Manage in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds. 7-day refund policy for new subscriptions. Contact Beauty-Korean@hotmail.com. Refunds are not available for renewal payments after the 7-day window.

Price changes. At least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.

6. Affiliate Program Disclosure

Beauty Korean participates in the OLIVE YOUNG Global, SASA Global, and Stylevana Affiliate Programs. Product links may be affiliate links. If you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not influence our product recommendations.

7. Facial Image & Skin Data (Mobile App)

• Skin analysis runs on your device using local image processing. Images are not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly save your analysis history.
• If you enable history, images are temporarily uploaded to Google Cloud Storage and deleted within 24 hours.
• Skin analysis results may be stored to provide history and recommendations, subject to our Privacy Policy.
• You retain full ownership of your facial images. You grant us a limited, temporary license solely to perform the analysis service.

8. Advertising

Free plan users see ads served by Google AdMob. Ads are personalized based on your device's advertising ID. Opt out via device settings. Premium subscribers are ad-free.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service unlawfully or in violation of these Terms.
• Upload facial images of others without explicit consent.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app.
• Use bots, scrapers, or circumvent rate limits and paywalls.
• Impersonate any person or upload harmful or infringing content.

10. Intellectual Property

All content within the Service is owned by or licensed to Beauty Korean and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Product images and names belong to their respective brands (ROM&ND, CLIO, Peripera, etc.) and retailers. We use them for informational and referral purposes only.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Skin analysis results are for cosmetic and informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice. Consult a dermatologist for medical skin concerns.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beauty Korean shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or USD 10, whichever is greater.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion for conduct violating these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account in the app. Account deletion is permanent.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation, then submitted to the competent courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea.

EU users may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
